Thread: Organic Chemistry!
Least resources, it's a long grind and there is no easy way to do it.
If you want to make stim a's then use them to heal entertainers while grinding them. Empty your inventory but the resources and the tools, Make the a's and set up a heal macro
/healdamage;
/pause 15;
/macro [whatever you name it[
you get a usage bonus when you finsih the stim A of 15 crafting Xp I think. So you kill 2 birds with 1 stone
This macro saves a little time:
/nextCraftingStage;
/nextCraftingStage;
/createPrototype Practice noitem;
/createPrototype Practice noitem;
This finishes the items in practice mode so they don't get added to your inventory.
The bummer is you still have to manually start the crafting session, and drop in the required resources. It helps if you only have one organic and one inorganic in your main inventory, rather than a bunch of containers of different resources. That way you don't have to scroll around.
So you start the crafting session, get to the point where you have entered the resources, then start the macro. It will take you back to your inventory, and you should look to make sure that your crafting tool has started its timer. I use two Food and Chemical crafting tools to make BEC's, and I find thatthe time it takes toget one goingis about the time it takes the other one to finish. So by the time I start the macro for one crafting tool, the other is just becoming available again.And this is what I do while I'm waiting for shuttles, orgetting a mind buff in the cantina.
I've never timed it, but my sense is that I can earn about 800 xp during a 6 minute shuttle wait.
ONE LAST NOTE: If there is a droid with a crafting module around, the macro doesn't work. It assumes that you are not presented with the option to experiment. So if your crafting sessions keep closing without taking any time, chances are someone around you has pulled out a droid. It will do this occasionally anyway, because of critical failures, but if I get it three times in a row I move to a different area.
I crafted BECs through Organic Chemistry IV, then switched to ABECs for the Doctor medicine crafting tree.
Since you don't have to be concerned about the quality of these components, I'd just buy a big crate of an organic and a big crate of an inorganic and just grind them out while waiting for a shuttle, waiting for a friend, etc. It takes a while, but it's the most efficient way
Here's what I used (I posted this yesterday I think):
