Thread: Wound healing in public?

I just ground out master medic in preparation for doctor, and I bought myself a medical droid with a 110 medical capability rating. But when I pulled it out and went into a cantina and tried to heal someones wounds just to play around with it it gave me the message that "you have to be in a med center or camp to heal that players wounds."
....and I'm thinking "ya, but that's what the droids for right?""
Or is it only good for buffing in public?

Never mind, it works outside, guess it's just not allowed in a cantina...

You were either in an npc cantina (where it won't work) or it ran out of juice

Here's a fun fact for ya! If you call your droid outside of a npc cantina, and then stand right on the threshold of the door you can heal wounds on anyone who's in range. I do it in Theed all the time.

Is this because the bots can't come in the front door, or because they dont just work because if you call your bot outside and go in the backdoor it will follow you in.

Actually although yes player cantinas won't allow you to, try doing that in some cantinas like Dathmoir or Yavin IV, one of those planets like that lets you pull a droid and heal while in the cantina, I got some good med exp healing people while they listened to the entertainer. (When there was one.)

Those are Taverns (I think), not Cantinas. There's one in Anchorhead, too.

My droid can come into the cantina, it just doesnt matter because I cant heal wounds in a non player city cantina. Technically I think being on the threshold is still outside, it just allows anyone within range inside to get healed. I do make sure my droid is outside though, just in case. I usually just send a /tell to anyone inside that needs healing to come to the entrance and heal away. There's usually a dancerin the frontanyway so they can heal bf and wounds at the same time.
