guess what!!!!!!!!

i mastered Medic yesterday!!!!!!!!!!!! yay

now idk where to go from here. Im a n00b and this is my first mastery (even though my starting prof was marksmen lol) and im not sure what to do

the combat medic seems pretty cool and im 3/3/3/3 marksmen so im almost ready to do that, but the reason why i kinda crapped out on marksmen was that i coudln't really get xp because i'd go out on hunts and wind up getting like 100-200 xp per critter, even though there were like 20k HAM biggies. The reason for this was that i'd do like 100-200 damage tops, while my freinds did 400-600. :-(. so i tried little critters but they only give like 50xp so can't really do that.. very annoying. so thats why i crapped out on marksmen

now i wanna be doctor so i can heal anybody anytime but ppl have scared me off cause of sayings like "be afriad to wear master doc. tag in public... be very afraid" and i think that has something to do with ppl beggin u for buffs but im not planning on becoming a buff-bot so master doc seems kinda... eh...

so can anybody whos doen either or both professions help me and and give me a little info on what they're like? please

greatly appreciated

p.s is there any way for a medic(not buffing doctor)to make money? i noticed they have like explorer, entertainer, artisan, and normal mission termials but nothing for medic! so i am stuck doing 1k destroy or $500 delivery missions for almost no profit! kinda stinky if u ask me.

You know what man, I wear my Master Doc Tag almost exclusively and on my server I very rarely get tells asking for buffs. You need to do what is fun for you. I Love Doctor, and I love Medic, because it is the type of play style I enjoy. I tried Combat Medic, but gave up, because providing resourcesfor Doctor and CM was just to much for me. CM is awesome though. They have great abilities and the Ranged Stims are A+++. I personally like Doctor morebecause I've always liked playing Melee Profession.

Doctor = Good Melee type Healer.

CM = Good all around Healer.

They are both really fun to play, so it really depends how you play. If you like ranged I would suggest going CM. If you like Melee I would suggest Doctor. But its really up to you. The goal is to learn the profession and have fun doing it. Both of which Medics as a whole do very well for me.

- The no-medic-mission issue has been a top issue for a long time.
- You can try making money by simply healing wounds, but the income potential for that is shaky - some people have had great success making money this way, and others (like me) do not. You can also make and sell stimpack B's as a source of income.
- Just don't wear your doctor tag and you won't be bothered for buffs as much. If you just wear you medic tag, once in a while you may get some desperate people asking for a buff. Otherwise, you'll only get asked for a buff if you somehow build a reputation as a doctor, or if somebody tips them off that you're a doctor. If somebody starts givin' you crap for refusing to buff, you always have the option to ignore him/her.

PS : To make money sell Stim B's or Heal people. On my server most people tip 5k -10k just for me healing them while they are in line for buffs.

Well....Some people don't tip...that has been a soar spot for me since the game launched....

Nothing you can do about it. And the sad thing is unless you become a buff-bot you really can't expect people to tip you. Just stick with healing, Not everyone will tip, and not everyone will tip big, but if your not wasting *uber* resources on Wound Packs, it doesn't much matter, because you should be pulling a profit either way.
