Thread: Important stat for Medic while in Combat?

I am currently considering adding some medic skills to my template and was wondering if someone could help me make a decision. I am going to have enough skill points to gain one full tree from Medic and was wondering which mod you believe I would find more useful - Injury Treatment line or the Medicine Use line.

It depends on what you're fighting. 2xxx is VERY useful for bleed removal, and xx3x or xx4x for more powerful stims. If bleeds matter, I'd say 2030, if not, 0040. Oh, and if you're planning to fight NS, BLEEDS MATTER!!!

I would have to say that 2-0-3-0 can give you the most power for the skill points invested. Plus you get /firstaid to cure bleeds. Stim-C's can be quite a bit stronger than B's.

well actualy i vould say Healing power and youre stats migration

First : have alot of Focus to make you heal regenrate Mind fast becurse if youre hunting like and jedi or nightsisters etc... you may have to heal quite alot of time so get alot of focus no need to max it out but and good idea to get and low encumb armor and more will power than the armor encumbs

second: the healing power is very critical if this is used to attack big things like NS jedi etc... so get youre selfv some nice C stims or B stims that real KICK *** so youre ready now youre able to heal with power and you can regenrate it fast ofcurse if youre using brandy it isent an problem

Focus has nothing to do with the regen rate of your mind pool. Regen is determined by willpower. Also, if he goes 4040 (which I do recommend, btw) he can use stim Ds and Es, so why bother with Bs and Cs?

I've just reconfigured my template and I'm thinking that I can spare enough SP to take two lines in Medic so I believe that I'll take 4040 Medic. Would this be an advisable course of action?

You might want to go 3240 so you can use stim D's and E's quicker then you could normally. I find being able to use them faster is more of a benefit then having them heal an extra 200 points. Which would you find more useful, 1200 every ten seconds or 1000 every six seconds (I'm not sure on those numbers, it's been awhile since I've had that much medic). The healing potential of the 1000 every six seconds is 167 and the healing potential for 1200 every 10 seconds is 120. Hope this helps.

You actually bring up a good point with the 3240 template idea and I have also taken that into some consideration. I'm just not sure how much Injury Treatment Speed helps and wasn't sure if I'd see any noticable speed changes between 4040 and 3240.

Hmmm, personally I would go for the ability to heal as much damage in one go during combat (4040 template) since it's better to spend combat queue time in combat as opposed to healing. Not to mention addtional drain on your mind pool, increased chances of getting states imposed on you etc
