Thread: What does medical forage do?

I tried foraging and I did it like 25 times with 15-17 succeses. Anyway I looked in my inventory to find 1-2 of like 11 different resources. What is the piont of this? I cant use 1 resource in anything since they dont stack. Am I missing somehting?

No, you have correctly assessed the situation: medical forage is worthless. I get my organics by sampling for them, although I hope to get some extractors established before too long.

Use the Flora survey tool with artisan skills.


Or use Harvest <corpse> with scout skills.


Or bum organics off scouts.

I trained in basic Scout but I don't see the harvest option on the radial menu when I select a dead creature. I usually hunt with a group, not sure if someone is grabbing it before I do or if I need to use a command instead.

Yes, you figured it out. The single most worthless skill in Star Wars Galaxies: Medical Forage.



The only thing that I can figure is that in beginning Beta, the Stimpack-A cost three of any organic material; thus you could make a basic stimpack every three attempts or so.



But in Ending Beta, the cost a Stimpack-A was increasedand Medical Forage was left in it's present UselessState.



Do the Devs read these forums?



Maybe we Medics can get a real skill in it's place...

You are correct.


At the time it was even more of a shock for people who hit Stim-B and needed 64 resources (once you hit Ochem II you lost the schematic for Stim-A). They wanted to keep going off of /medicalforage and there was no way to make it work.
