Can any of you speculate - seriously - about why the Devs have decided that after the CU ALL professions will be given their own healing capacity thanks to non-Medic stims? I just don't get it. Am I missing something?

Because the combat professions have been yelling for no-cert Stim-A's forever.

Is that so? In all the time I have played this game, just under two years, I never heard that controversy.

Thou that all professions can use the instant stims packs, they only for more emergancy use then a subsitute for a healer. The stims are restricted to the combat levels of the character. New players and pure Crafters would be limited to only StimA while a 75% crafter could manage using a StimB and so on up to 100% pure combat elites using StimD.
Stim packs have a delay of about 60sec between uses and vastly weaker then a skilled healer who can heal every 15sec. This capacity more allows people to have a little bit of help when they need it, sorta like using a low level spice or foraged food in a tough moment.
