Thread: Medic Questions.
This is really confusing profession to me.
Is the amount you heal someone directly releated to the Xp you recieve?
So what is more important good medicine, or high first aid skill/injury treatment?
Can you be succesful medic and not concern yourself with finding the BEST materials for your medicines and experimentation?
I want to be a medic but the further I go, the less fun it seems to be. I'm not interested at looking at hundreds of different resources to find the best materials. I just want to make medicine that will do the job.
Are the people who concern themselves with finding the best resources doing so because they are trying to make money from selling stimpacks? Or can you not be a good medic unless you are using the best resources?
If any one can point me to a comprehesive medic guide id appriciate it. A GOOD one. I've looked but I guess not hard enough or in the right places.
I don't mind the fact that medics are broke, get no tips etc. But, as you can tell by my post the resources/crafting brings me down. I just want to make meds quickly and be able to heal. Not search forever to get the best resources.
Thanks.
Nothing is stoping you from buying resources from other players. You can even buy med packs from other players if you don't want to craft at all. You don't have to make your own meds if you don't want to.
I buy other Medic's meds from time to time when I don't want to spend the time to make my own. And I love the crafting and gathering resources part of it.
- yes the exp is directly related to the amount of damage/wounds you heal. for damage, if you heal people in Action and Health, you get more exp, than if it's just damage to one of the bars
- both are equaly important. good medicines heal more and have more charges giving you more effect for less cost. high FA and Diag skill improve the speed at which you are healing (Diag) and the amount you are healing (FA) but both only work on damage, not on wound healing.
- you can always buy medicines from other people. crafting good medicines without good resources is rather hard. however, once you use advanced components you will pretty much have to take what you get, because there usualy is not many types of those around and even with bad quality resources, advanced components are better than the old ones. You will have to go through the grind though at first, but it becomes a lot smoother ones you have your harvester set and running and don't have to worry about the exp anymore.
- using better resources results in better medicines, making your life a lot easier in combat. people buy anything atm no matter what the quality is, because if they want to buy medicines there is not much of a choice atm ,)
- for a good medic guide, do a search for MorvenDee or Tale's Medic Guide.. it should be on page 2 or so.
