Ok I may be making this harder than it is, but if I were a Marksmen I point/shoot/kill/advance!! On Medic it has more to it and I haven't found any hints or tips in the manual on how/where to find "organic/inorganic" materials for making kits etc. Nor am I quite sure what pharmacuetical skill relates to!!

If I am wanting to have healing skills for my BH/Smuggler character, wouldn't it be best to just advance in the healing parts rather than the other junk???

.....any advice or CONstructive criticism would be appreciated.

If you looking for heals to reduce downtime, then go FA and Pharm. Pharm increases ur med use skill which allows you to use higher packs...You do not have to craft your packs then. In fact i advise against it as ur packs will suck compared to packs medic/doctor specialists can make...its better to buy them in that case

All pack have a required med use to use. If you do not have this level you cannot use the pack. Higher level packs can also be experimented to lower the med usage.

as for materials...if u are gonna harvest, you need to first become an artisan so you can sample thenyou need to get some survey tools..just flora and mineral for now is fine, but u'll eventually want to get a gas, water, wind, chemical one as well...you dont have to be an artisan and can rely on harvesters as well, but its hard to find the good spots since you cant survey and you will need to get artisans to survey for you.

oh and get a chem/food tools as well (in fact if u are gonna be crafting alot get 4-5). The general tool works at the beginning but you'll need the specialized tool soon if u are planning on crafting your meds...
