Hello, as a Doctor, and hopefully soon to be Combat Medic, I'd just like to say: Devs PLEASE let us turn off auto-attack. When I'm out in the field with a group, or solo, and I peace out to heal myself, I don't want the stupid server causing my character to automatically target and start attacking whatever hits me - I WANT TO HEAL MY FRIENDS AND MYSELF. Please give us the option to disable that auto-attack of whatever attacks us. I know, you can setup a hotkey to peace, then hit target your friend or yourself, and then hit your healdamage hotkey. I do this, but sometimes my target keeps getting stolen so fast, and I keep getting thrown back into battle mode so fast, that I can't get heals off.

For me this has been a very big problem. Just give us a macro that we can keymap for auto-attacking stuff that's hitting us.

No kidding...this has been driving me crazy! I'm not a fighter...(yet) When I run away, I want to really run away and heal myself at the same time and not be firing over my shoulder.

It also sucks because I'm running up to try and heal someone and then my guy automatically starts firing....made some bad situations worse.

Since im CM now and dont need the compat or pistol xp...i dont even carry a gun

True I could not carry a gun, but I do want to make CM someday so I do carry it for those occassions when I feel safe enough to make pot shots...

Now if there was a macro where I could equip or unequip real fast.....

my advice for getting to ranged 4 fast...take ur medic tag off put on a marksman tag...go to the tuskens and shoot ur little heart out...stim when u are low on H and A and just pretend not to be a "medic" otherwise its just too much xp to get...trust me i tried the xp while healing route..and u just dont do enuff damage to get the big xp...

you can put your weapon in the shortcut bar and use the corresponding key to equip or unequip it
