I'm a noob medic (brawler by trade!) and I had a question about stimpack self-healing during combat.

When I'm tangling with a mutant womprat, I'll target self and hit my F key with Stimpack A to get some relief. The problem is that there is a HUGE delay in the time it takes for the Stimpack to work while I'm fighting. Even if there are no special moves in the combat queqe!

Is this normal?> Will I have to wait until First Aid IV to get Insta-healing abilities?

Actually, you are mistaken on two counts. First, it is Diagnostics, not First Aid that decreases healing times. Second, self-healing times never go down, and are fixed at a constant 10 seconds.
