That's way too expensive. I did some calculations myself the other day. Making an Action/Wound Medpak B takes about 72 resources. Current market rates are about 5 credits per resource. That would yield a price of 360, 400 if you want to make a profit. But if you make it yourself, you also get the Med. Crafting XP. And it's not like you can sell this stuff to non-medics: only medics can use advanced medicines. I think you'll find that there really isn't a market for medicine.

ahem.. I have to make a few assumptions here..

1. You didn't read the post fully because I did state that prices would fall and there would be significant discounts for the first few.


2. You obviously don't know the value of a normal medicine because those are very very obviously experimented values AND.. those are basically 4 "great success" andan "amazing success"


3. Even more sadly.. the 5 credit per resource doesn't hold for higher quality resources which are rarer..


4. You probably do not realise thatthe woundpack B i'm selling is just about the highest wound pack grade that a novice medic can use and hence they are FAR SUPERIOR in quality to what a starting medic would use.. or for that matter a high level basic medic..

• A woundpackA heals for roughly 15 heals..


• A woundpackB heals for roughly 45 heals


• My woundpackBs heal for 91 heals.

You do the math.. 20 heals 91 heal base ( max heal i've reached so far with that wound pack is 143) = 1800 health wounds

Take 1 credit per wound (many people who have little money for tips lets say) =1800 credits.

SO.. my 750-10%= 675 before i factor in market demand and dropping market value.

That looks like a minimum 1125 credit profit to me my friend.

Yes yes yes.. IF they tip.. now that.. is not my problem.

I dont see how this could be very successful. As a novice medic myself working towards master medic, I need to get my medicine crafting skill. The natural efficient method is to use what I craft.

true, but if you dont plan to pursue the doctor line, you will never have packs as good as those packs made by master doc crafters...

at a certain point, if your not really 100% about crafting your meds and having to deal with all the hassles with crafting them...harvesters, factories, artisan training, advanced components, optimal resource searching, its more efficient and effective to begin to buy ur packs from a high level crafter...you will get more charges and more effectiveness and possible even highpacks that have been experimented down to your lower med use.

Another thing you have to remember is that there are a lot of people with medic as a support skill that only want to usepacks to reduce downtime and do patch ups. This kind of service will make getting medic as a 3rd or 4th profession more viable.

My only comment to the orginal post is that his prices are way too high and honestly, this is not a flame, the packs you have described are much lower in charges and heal value then other packs I have see out there...including mine. I don't mean that as an insult, just as an observation to help you with your market research.

I also run a med company and I dont have a huge customer base, buta very active and loyal one. Istarted by selling my stim Bs and lower use Cs on the bazaar at very cheap prices to let people know I was making packs. The i used the emails i got from the bazaar sales to directly contact the buyer and see if he liked the product and would be interested in buying them directly from me. This usually worked because people realized that my packs were much better than what was out there currently. This is how I worked up my customer base.

I hope you don't take this post as inflamatory and just as some advice from one medic to another. I whole heartly support more med companies. This will show people that if they just wanna add a few skills in medic to decrease downtime or help out the grp, that this is viable because there will be a supply of reasonable, effective and easy to use medicine out on the market. This can only lead to more business.

By the way.. If no one's interested I'll just have to give up the idea completely so please try provide a little feedback for the benefit of everyone..

I would support this pharmacy market. In fact, I intend to.

But first I need to craft my own stuff to get to Medic mastery and then on to CM. My sister needs Pharm to get to BE, so it'll be a while before I am a profitable customer.

I would be willing to give a pharmacist merchant some crafted items like suspensions and controllers and stuff like those that are needed to craft the higher teired supplies in exchange for some sort of discount on the finished product. That way I can keep earning my XP and support a worthy merchant at the same time. What do you think of that?
