Thread: How do You Heal Wounds?

Hi,

I was wondering how you experts out there heal peoples wounds. Do you just type in /tendwound <Stat>, then ask them if they have any secondaries and do the same? Or do you have hotkeys set up that do the /tendwound <stat> for you? Or is there another way?

Thanks

A.) I NEVER use tend... I just dont like hurting myself.

B.) For damage, I drag stimpacks from inventory to my hotkey bar, taget person, and hit hotkey or click it with the mouse.

C.) For wounds, I target them, hit the ~ (tilda) key, then hit 5 or choose a type and click it. Once targeted, just use tilda then 5 to repeat.

Ihave/had hotkeys set up for the tendwounds..

The reason why I don't have hotkeys set up for the /healwound is that

1) I'm lazy and haven't ever gotten around to doing it

2) and that /healwound sometimes uses medpack A and sometimes uses Medpack B from main inventory ( i think it picks whatever the last one I used from one of my other hot keys from dragging up to hotkey list) and I want more control so I just target user and dbl-click the medpack i want to use.

Of course, I would say it's option 2. =)

if u use the /healwound command the game will automatically pick the first pack that can do the said heal...so if its only 5 wounds and the first pack in ur inv that it can use is a wound C it will use the wound C, despite the fact that you may have 20 packs of wound Bs in the inv after that...

thus i always just hot bar my packs so i know what im using...

I usually hit the hot keys for my action/health medpads until the black is all gone. From there, I have two hotkeys, one for /diagaction which tries to /healwound each of the action stats, and /diaghealth, which tries to /healwound all of the health stats. It gives me a bit of spam on the screen (You heal so and so for number of health points. You gain so many medical experience. You must wait 23 seconds before you can do that. You must wait 23 seconds before you can do that.) but it takes care of everything. I do this until it tells me they have no more wounds (or I have no medicine, at which point I frantically craft to get that medicine).

I haven't messed with /tendwound in ages, since I got my Org Chemup and was able to make medicines for everything.

For those people who say they haven't used /tendwound in ages, I still use it to get those last few action or health wounds that I am not going to waste a medpack on. I usually make it my mission to leave the med center and then go to the cantina to heal that last liittle bit of mental wounds and then heal any of the dancer/musicians so I get my mind healed anyway.

First I heal their health and action using my hotkeyed woundpacks. I usually ask while I am doing this if they have any secondary wounds and if they can list how many of each. Then I heal those with my hotkeyed woundpacks and occasionally I will use /tendwound depending how my medicine is holding up. I still have hotkeys set up to /tendwound from when I didn't have woundpacks.

I just found this out, but when I type out /healwound it'll search for any pool that is wounded and heal it. It's good when you don't want to ask people about their wounds, but it can be a waste if you have a statpack -B or higher and it heales 3 wounds.

This does not work on /tendwound but I thought I would share it. I am not sure if my char is just strange but I think it works.

So try it out!

I am a noob medic and my instincts directed me towards this method...

I would /tend when I ran out of resources or wound medication which default used /heal?

Anyway, point is...I don't care if my mind gets all wounded up after I run out of meds because then I go to the cantina anyways to heal up and while I'm healing I stimp the entertainers for some XP. Then repeat.

BTW does grouping with the entertainers help my XP when healing?
