Thread: Enhanced Stim A+ Schem, useless?

The Small Stimpack A+ is a stim that can be made from an enhanced schematic that is given as a reward by a quest giver in Tatoine. This schematic was just made a part of the game a few days ago and appears to be pointless. Does anyone know what the benefit of this stim is? For example, does it give stat mods, or heal mind, or take no mind, or some other functional benefit? All the other new schems out now, such as weapons that have DOTs or mods, all are great improvements over what could normally be made. However, the Stim A+ schem appeards to be a downgrade. There is no benefit explained in the examine window, and now obvious one at use. With a heal power in the mid 100s it is obsolete when compared to the stimpack B with the same med use level. Unless im mistaken and there is some real benefit to this stim, it would appear docs and medics got jipped with this publish.AS, WS, Tailor, and others got great schems with much demand, whereas we got a Stim A schem. Oh well....

Just to add on something, heres what some of the other professions got:

  • Weaponsmiths:

    • Enhanced E11 carbine

    • Featherwieght FWG5 pistol

    • Scythe

    • a new Two Hand Sword

    • Modified Republic Blaster

        • All of these weapons have been greatly improved. They can do things like disease or poison people or give the use improvements to Skill Mods. They also can have better damage and/or speed.

  • Armorsmiths:

    • a new Personal Shield Generator

      • the new shield generator has a lot better resist %s

  • Tailors:

    • Crafters Aprons

      • These clothes provide a + mod to the experimentation mod of crafters

    • Demolitions Belt

      • Not sure what these do....

    • And some other new outfit

  • Chefs

    • Well... they got a whole revamp, not going to go over it.

And most importantly:

  • Medics/Docs/CMs

    • Stimpack A+

      • This supposedly enhanced new schematic that is given as a reward is apparently useless. There is no obvious benefit.

So, my question is:

Is there a benefit to the Stimpack A+ that I have yet to find?

How many resources does it take? A Stim B takes 104 resources using advanced components(the only reason they're favored), while a regualr stim A takes 16 resources. If the news stim A still takes 16 resources (8organic, 8 inorganic), then I'd say a 650% decrease in price (if your charging #cpu) is worth it for a newbie

But a newbie won't have a factory to do runs, so he'll only be able to make 5 of them. With 8 experimentation points and almost perfect resources, I got an a+ to the heady heights of 137 power, and 18 charges, med use 5. Yes, by all means it's better than a regular stim a, but it's hardly terribly exciting. I have better things to use my good resources on.

Yep, it still takes 16 units of resource. So, I guess the benefit is that you can sell them for about 100 credits and still make a profit.

It is meant for newbies to get a small edge, after doing an easy quest (well 3)... that's all.

It has a slightly higher use count (max at 24) and heal at aroun 150. Other than that, not much use, and you won't sell them very well, since the B's are all used as much.

They should have made it med use 0. this would let anyone use it. Or it should use no mind to use.

Does anyone know where this quest starts... I'm a noob to this server and the medic profession, so any direction here would be nice.
