Thread: Passive biosensors and medicine use bugged?

So, I was testing passive biosensors with my bio-engineer friend. I have Org Chem 4 and Pharm 2 at the moment (for a natural +20 medicine use) and got +15 medicine use from the biosensors he made. I'm also a tailor so I weaved them into my own clothing. Lo and behold my medicine use shows +20/+35 in the skills window, yet I can't use a 29 rated stimpack C.

Quite disappointing. Anyone have similar experiences or is this supposed to be working?

Thanks!

No experiences with biosensors, but just a thought - have you tried using an unexperimented (for med use) Stim C? Could the bug be the biosensor having trouble with the experimented stimpack?

Also a question for you - if a garment takes more than one synth cloth, are the bonuses from each augmented cloth cumulative?

Yes I tried a regular stim C and that wouldn't work either.

The bonuses are cumulative, if an item requires 2x synth cloth you get 2x the bonus.

The bug is most likey in how the biosensors bonus get applied to the character.

The ease of use number on items is a normal number (in the database)created whe nthe pack gets made. I don't see why they'd have to manipulate it in any way.

Clothing bonus points have to be manipulated though (are you wearing it or not, etc.) so the skills screen code works, but the actual use code doesn't... bummer.

Do the +'s for other professions skills work, or are they all broken?

If they are all broken, when (whenever that is) a fix goes in, all the clothes will suddenly start working.

If only the medic stuff is broken, most likely old crafted stuff will remain junk, while newly crafted stuff will work.

Are "loot gems" actually working? These 2 things could be linked.

Could just be that the devs long ago 'turned off' the 'medicine use' buffing attachments, because they didn't want you to be able to use a stim without having at least novice medic, and it's still set so that 'medicine use' buffs have no effect...

Or was that 'fix' done just by adding the requirement that you have the / command given by novice medic?

You dug up an ancient post.

Medicine use on BE clothing was removed somewhere in October I think.

Twilight is Correct. Med use SEAs do not work either, although they may still drop (Don't know about that one way or the other)

There is all sorts of busted stuff in the loot tables (besides junk)... guns with no certs, tapes with bad skills (med use etc.) or skills that arte gon (Commando grenade crafting ...lol) Damage stims (which were missed in the removal of mind stimming pass)...

All sorts of goodies.
