I'm slowly climbing up the Medic tree 3/3/2/4 and would like to know if the XP from crafting counts towards a Doctor once I get there?

Though you could potentially cap out on your crafting xp, but it is not likely unless your grinding, which would be silly. The cap is 1.5X your next level or 50k . As long as you are below that, you will continue to gain the xp and be able to apply it towards your Doc crafting tree, or if you get really bold, your CM crafting tree
