Since you tried to post twice, I will try and answer your question, dont worry, we all have problems with these forums. Yesterday I couldnt even log in to post half the day.

Yes, the quality of the resource matters for what your crafting. You want a high OQ, UT or PE.

The break down is as follows:

OQ 66%

PE or UT 33% - your resource will have one or the other so which ever one it is, it will be worth 33%.

You also want something with a high Melability(sp?). This makes it easier to experiment on.

For organic, I would use meat, for non-organic, anything you can get your hands on that doesn suck.
