I've been gone from the game for a while so i don't know if it's a new feature of the game or if I was just lucky the rest of the time I was playing but I've gotten diseased while meleeing a Noxious Vrelt Scavenger on Corellia. It's damaging my Battle fatigue for some reason. My question is, will it wear off or will it continue until I get it treated. If so would I need a medic or doctor. Sorry if if this is one of those brain dead simple questions but any help would be appreciated.

Vrelt Fever can last for close to an hour. Especially it seems if you sustain a fair amount (and it's vrelts, you probably did). Unfortunately, it takes a Doctor with a minimum 4 Wound Treatment Speed to Cure Disease (plus whatever is needed to Craft and use packs).

You'll probably be waiting it out, although you can always try the master Docs in the Starport. It shouldn't do enough to kill you.

Yeah up to an hour.

The BF is important... the higher your BF, the more wounds the disease does per tick.. it can get quite nasty at high BF.

Thank you for the information. It finally wore off after, as you said, about an hour. Have to leave them alone while I'm meleeing from now on.

One of the previous publishes (publish 5?) increased the number of creatures that have disease attacks, and the power of those diseases. If you're killing creatures on Corellia, look out for mottled wrixes too. Ever since that patch, I get fairly frequent tells from guild mates who need to meet me for disease cures. Some of them can be rather nasty (bull rancor disease, for one). The good news (for us docs) is that cure disease A packs work just fine on the PVE diseases. At least, that's been my experience.

Yup, more diseasaing critters out there.

I got diseased on two pools last night on Endor from bark mite burrowers. Very nasty stuff, lasts 2 hours. The pits though, in my experience, is to be hit by a mantigrue screetcher, and this was back in August. Hit my mind pool and came very close to killing me (the rules on disease/poison incap were a bit different then).

I had two guys I was hunting with both get Rancor disease (I lucked out). It was brutal damaging both of their HAM bars (one health and the other action) for 1100 points when it finally wore off. I only had the crappy Health/Action wound packs soI spent the better part of 20 mins patching them up. Its nasty, nasty, stuff....
