Thread: Medic Exp: How to get it ??
1) Normal ways - Join a combat party with a scout. Heal during the fighting, then heal the wounds after the fight at the campsite. Carry a medical droid with you and hunt down wounds. Wait in the med center, if you find a good med center and play during peak hours, your guaranteed lots of xp.
2) exploit - Get a friend, get a med center, have them die a bunch and not clone... endless XP, make sure your using at least wound pack B's.
Yeah, grouping is about the best idea for medical xp, especially if your the only medic ![]()
Last night went to Endor with my guild, killed some Ewoks and did some missions and ended up with around 30k medical xp ![]()
I find that if you don't look at the xp bar you seem to rack up a ton of xp while having fun. If you instead keep monitoring your xp trying to get th max output for as little time as possible you have a pretty boring time ahead of you.
What's the point in reaching master anything if you don't have fun while doing it?
Besides healing entertainers for xp is a bad way. It's nice for the entertainers, and I try and do it while I'm listening to them, and tip them a little after. But to do it for the sole reason of gaining xp is not good.
If you heal someone who has damage both to action and health bar you get around 0.5 xp/dmg healed. If you heal on bar only (i.E. action bar in a cantina) you get something like 0.25 xp/dmg healed. This tells me the xp really lies in grouping. You get double the xp while in the field compared to the cantina. This also means you get more xp out of ever piece of resource used in the stim.
No I'm not advocating not healing the entertainers. We should all be doing that. I'm just saying it's not a really good way to grind. Wounds are better than than even, but as ststed the field healing is by far the best. And you laso get to raise your combat xp. Not to mention it's a helluva lot more fun than grinding away in the cantina.
Definately go to a med center. There comes a point where your stims are healing more action than the dancers can even use. (although it is a good place to one shot heal them.. and makes me feel good!)
The exp in a med center is best in town. If you go in the field and with a hunting party, be careful. Most people pull out these huge pets and expect you to heal them. If you don't want to tend wounds, then find you a melee class friend, stick to them, fire off a few shots of your own and cue up some heals. As others have said, that's great experience.
I find a med center in a remote location to be the best. Or slightly off peak hours. I'll go into a med center, shout that a doctor is in, and within minutes *generally* I have a line. And it's fun to talk to patients about how they got those wounds and listen to what they come up with. Some of my most humorous moments have been these.
For example Player_01 comes in with nothing but Action and Health wounds.. You KNOW he didn't clone.
Ask him how he got those wounds? He'll go into a saga about a dance of death with a dark jedi master. Blaster bolts sixxling the air, and the deadly lightsaber blade visciously weaving back and forth! Finally after a long and tiring ritual, he died.
We both know the Dark jedi master one-shotted him and sent him crawling back to the clone center, but it makes the game more fun.
Just play the blasted game! I'm tired of hearing from people who only just want to waste their time grinding away for dump xp. There is a lot to do in this game. Play it! You'll get your dump xp in time.
AAARRRRRGGGG!!
