is there a faster way to make stim B's than this?

each time i want to make one, i have to make 3 other things first (bio, chemical, liquid susp), then i can make the stim B. it takes forever. there must be some shortcut??

Buy crates of the three components and then you don't have to make those. All you have to do is create the final product.

You will have to do the subcomponents before the stim - there's no escaping that

I'm currently trying out a macro that will fasten the process up! I have not got it to work just yet, but the geral idea is to have one start macro for each component and on finish macro for them all, like this:

startCraftingXXX:
/ui action toolbarSlot00
/selectdraftschematic N

* N being a numer that corresponds to XXX's schematic position in your datapad. Experiment on this until you get it right!!!

* You should have hotkeyd your crafting tool (toolbarSlot00 being the leftmost position in the top bar and toolbarSlot23 being the rightmost position in the bottom bar).

When you've executed this macro you can just double-click on the resources to use. After that you can either press Enter a couple of times or you can run your second macro.

finishMacro:
/nextcraftingstage;
/nextcraftingstage;
/createprototype;
/createprototype;

* This macro I haven't tested yet so I don't know if it works or not.

With the use of the Enter key I keep four crafting tools busy in parallell. If you like to experiment you can still use the first macro for firing off the crafting and the Enter method will make you able to keep at least three tools working.

I'll test it out later today and I'll get back with the exact content of my macros

Either buying factory crates of components or making them yourself in a factory speeds it up a lot, but you also lose out on the exp (or 10% only if you stand by your factory) for those components. I make components in my factory and then makes stim-b's in the factory with the components to sell.

I made similar components in pairs, or in several parts. I believe I had 3 food & chem crafting tools and I'd make 4 chemical release mechs and then 4 liquid suspensions... and then at the end I'd craft the 4 stimpack Xs. The only way this goes faster though is if you have access to premade components or a factory.

I don't know about you but personally i use 4 crafting tools when making stim b's, 2 general and 2 food and chem tools. and here's how it goes.

1.have a biological effect controller, a liquid suspension, and a chemical release duration mechanism already pre-built.

2. and then starting with the general crafting tools make another biological effect controllerand liquid suspension,

3.while those are working start the 2 food and chem tools into making another chemical release duration mechanism and a stim b.

4. as soon as you finish thecrafting screen formaking the stim b, skip straigh to step 2 with building another bio and liquid.

if you do itright you can crank out 12 stacks of stim b's in 10 minutes, it may notsound like it. but that's fast, and hey, while you're at it sit in the cantina with heal on a hotkey and heal the dancers. i wouldn't call it crunching... well yeah ok. i call it crunching. but it's still fun.

zandra, thank you. i assume i can get these at the bazaar?

sormlam, wow if that works, that would be great. is there a place where you can get a list of all the commands you can use, such as the /ui command, the /nextcraftingstage command, the /createprototype command, etc? i'd love to have a complete list with explanation so i can start to figure these things out too.

darkbrow, i will have to try multiple crafting tools, thank you.

quinalla, hmm ... i do want XP so i'll have to keep that in mind.

dawe, i will have to figure out how to get a factory, what the costs are, if it's worth it to me, etc. thanks.

Why use general crafting tools at all?

I have 4 food and chem...just curious as to why you're using GCT?

Haste makes waste.

If you guys are all cranking out these pieces so fast, where is your time spent experimenting? What's the point in making unexperimented meds? might as well just buy them and not deal with it at all, you'd get more for your money.

MOshi, even with experimenting as high as I can, I still need at least 3 tools. And since i spend 2-3 days looking for the best resources in the galaxy, running through the sea of reds on Lok, Yavin, Endor, etc..I do not feel a bit bad about grinding out stim's..and I *do* experiment...why wouldn't I? I use them myself.
