Yes you must have novice medic to use them. You can use A's and B's as a novice.

its too bad. i want to be a BH, and i want to spent the 32 skill points left for wayfarer skills. but i would like also to be able to use stimpacks ((((( starting professions cost too many skill points (5 for BH novice and 15 for medic novice)

do i have to be a novice medic to use stimm packs (A and B), or can anyone without medic skills use stimmpacks?
