I realize this is a noob question but I could use some help.

How do I use stimpacks on myself while fighting without bringing up the inventory screen and healing manually.

Is there a macro for this?

/healDamage self

I have a macro set up on the hot bar, /healdamage. With this I heal whoever I have as a target. If I need to heal myself I just click on the ground somwwhere to untarget and then hit the hot bar key. The good thing is that this macro takes into account what range my target is at, so if someone is withing 7 meters I use a regular stim, and if they are outside 7 meters I use a ranged one.

Works very good for me.

I was also having this problem. I could never heal myself because it always showed that the person i was trying to heal was the enemy. However i had already click off of the enemy but i was still in battle with it

try pressing control 1 to target yourself, once you get the hang of it, only thing that will screw you up is special moves when targ. a group member (no effect) and corpses (also no effect)

This is what I do.

Drag a Stim to your tool bar, during battle, you just need to click on it thenyou'll get healed, you don't even have to click away from your target. It's not immediate though, I don't know if it's me or it's the way it's designed, there is always some delay, like 3 sec. Then if you want to heal yourself again, I think there is another 10 sec (?) gap between heals.
