Hi, I am Albe Franks from the Tarquinas Galaxy. I am trying to set some level of camaraderie with other meds, As well set up some methodology to the way we work and interact with each other and others who are none medics. I believe there are some key points in this forum that we can implement and not.

1. Banning people from being healed should NOT be implemented on any server. Our ethical obligation to help all in need contradicts this action.

2. Med professionals should setup a general chat group for all to share knowledge. This will give us a greater presence in the galaxy and help increase the efficiency of our profession as a whole.

3. Since making the necessary equipment and items to heal does cost money and time. We can plan out a standard Donation amount depending on the service being implemented. This doesn’t obligate others to have to pay us, and we can still cut our own cost of having to pay for everything. On a non-monetary base we can ask that others donate the resources needed to keep the med centers working at optimum levels.

4. This coincides with point 2 a chain of master to apprentice should be layer out. Key meds who are most advanced in their profs should take unto them a set amount of new apprentices. This will help stabilize the master: apprentice ratio nicely and everyone will eventually be able to reach what ever mastery they want.

5. We have a huge opportunity to become an info hub. We can post key info that runs through the med center on quest, missions, needs and wants, list of key masters or experts in the galaxy for various professions. In other word we can keep records on our patients.

6. We need to formulate a working relationship with entertainers! They work an integral part in making our job easier.

5. Have fun! We are more then just a tool for others to use. Just like entertainers we are there to interact with others and enjoy their company.

It looks good to me... though point 1 necessarily excludes faction politics. Neutrals cant heal declared at all, coverts can't heal the opposite faction's declareds, and TEFs muck everything up. Either way, this is generally the ideal I would like to see achieved in the medical professions.

I am on Naboo in Theeds but i am heading over to Bestine, because alot of med's seems to be stationed there and maybe i can learn a couple of things and bring it back to Theeds on Naboo, Send me an emal Val in game so we can talk...

The IGHA has come up with 1 cred per 2 wounds for Medpack As, 1 cred per 1 wound medpack Bs.

Not sure about the bann on healing, those who grief doctors and medics should in someway be punished. But then you got to look at the sanctity of life. So, it's up for debate. I'll bring it up at the conference on Saturday, on Starsider.
