I'm playing a CH. I come to this board to try to rally help.

With the lastest changes It's next to impossible to get your pet healed. And when you ask you usually get flamed into a charred crisp by the medic you asked. It takes me on avg of 35 mins to heal my pet. Since they forced me to take medic I now, no longer need the services of a medic. Isn't this kind of counter productive. I'm calling for a petition to give XP back to medics for healing pets. Maybe at a less than what you get for healing players, or something. But at least make it worth a medics time.

And before you turn on your flame throwers yes I offer to pay for the service for my pet. The usual response I get is "It's not worth my time/stims"

dont waste your time with medics who only care about XP

If someone offers to pay me to heal there pet, i have no problem doing so, in fact, id be glad to do so. Ill even buff there pets stats for a few creds.

During a rest period with my team last night - I had them take out all their poor neglected pets so I could heal them.

The problem you are having stems from the fact that no one tips their medics. They assume their medics are getting XP from healing them and neglect to tip them. The only reason medics hang out at the med centers is to get XP. So if you have a pet, and no XP healing it, your gonna be out of luck.

Master or near master medics/docs/CM like me and my friends never hang out at the med center anymore unless we need healing ourselves. I have maxed out my healing XP already, not that I need more anyway. I use my healing skills to heal myself when solo and my group-mates when not. Hanging out at the med center is a waste of time when I could be earning my living doing missions.

My suggestion is to make friends with healers and make an agreement with them on how much you'll pay them to heal your pets. Best way to make healer friends is to tip them. If everyone tipped their healers the way they (or at least should) tip thier ents, then you wouldn't be having so much trouble.

For those of you who say you always tip your medics, I will tell you from personal experience, I average about 200 credits if I hang out at the med center healing all afternoon. I congradulate any medics who do better.

That's fine. But I think medics should get a little XP.

Altho you guys still do get XP for healing pet wounds.

I tip quite well. I've tip'd 5K to a medic before, I've given a medic 2k of high quality meat.

Who I don't tip is, medics/dancers who demand it.

Too bad were not on the same server. If anyone reading this is on Scylla, send me an email. My pets take a serious beating daily. And if you wanna make money. Let me know. You can come hunt with me, and I'll pay you for your time, plus split profits with you.

--Who I don't tip is, medics/dancers who demand it. --

I dont demand tipping. I ask a fee for my service.

A tip is a payment above what something costs, in return for good service ect, and doctors dont need tips - we simply have a voulentary payment service that sucks.

I have every right to expect to be compensated for what I provide, and because no one does, I charge.

Your response comes out sounding like: "Hey, if you decide you dont want to bend over and take it from 90% of the people, the 10% of the people that do tip, are not going to tip you!"

Thats fine, the 10% dont make up for the 90% that dont tip - and they shouldnt have to.

Would you refuse that uber gun because the weaponsmith *gasp* wanted to charge you for it?

Would you tell off an armorsmith for the same reason?

You see, that I charge up front, yes charge NOT demand a tip, because its the only way to prevent people from abusing me like a slave.

Also you can look for bio engineer pet stims. These stims are usable by anybody I tend to buy a ton of them for my pet when hunting. Once these are factory creatable there should be no problem healing pets.

Also if you tip a doc well have them buff your pets regen stats. This will bost them to over player levels and allow them to regen like a person does aka pretty fast. These buffs last for about an hour or so or until you log or store the pet.

Wow, you like reading a lot into stuff don't you.

Simple, I'm in med center, sitting there... someone walks over.. heals me.. then "Well, tip me... .... why aren't you tipping me?! I healed you!! tip me now!!!"

ents. should charge. medics should to. if you don't like healing your pets get a different profession you can't expect everyone to drop what they are doing just fo ryour credits. to put things in perspective like 1-10 patientstip me (other then buffs) out of those they will range from 20-500(on a good day) i healed a guy from completely black in 3 heals to each action and health and he gave me 100 credits... that is not worth my time nor muy effort nor my frustration. I can go out with my friends and group make 10k+ an hour, heal them heal their pets, be told thanks, get meat make more money, have fun and still do better then the best day ever in the medical center... make friends with a doc, get him to heal yer pets on a regular basis, he'll soon stop charging you :-)

Find a Doc or CM, like was said earlier, they'd gladly take creds for damage healing your pet.

Hell, I've hit pets with Stim-Es before as I stood in the Starport waiting for the transport. Simply because I felt sorry for the pet...
