Okay here goes, in a nutshell of course:

Organic Chem allows you to create stims, woundpacks, etc.

First Aid enables you to heal above and beyond the stimpack/woundpack base heal.

Diagnotics shortens the duration in between heals (quicker heal).

So what exactly does Pharmacology do?

This tree increases your medical use skill.

In order to use certain items, you have to have the appropriate skill level.

For instance, I can make Stimpack-C's, but since I don't have a high enough skill level, I can't use them.
