Thread: Resources and advanced components
Somewhere on this board, someone recommended putting up a bunch of harvesters to get your own materials, as this is much cheaper. Now, I've done this (for Wind Energy, a Metal, a Chemical, and some Organics), and I've sinced reached Organic Chem IV. Now I'm wondering if there's any point keeping those harvestors, as to make any of the advanced components I need very specific materials, that seem to be available on another planet, or a number of other planets, and placing my harvestors all over the galaxy is far more effort than I feel like going to.
Uh, so, my question is what should I do? Kill the harvestors and by the resources for the advanced components, or what?
Thanks.
Keep your harvesters, because you'll still need good quality Organics and Inorganics to craft better meds. Simply buy the advanced component resources as well.
As you get higher into Doc/CM(if you go that route) then you'll simply need to get specific types of materials. Such as Seeds, Tubers, Berries etc...these you can usually find on your home-planet.
eventually you'll want to be harvesting:
-power (a fusion reactor)
-dantooine berry fruit (high capacity flora farm)
-talusian water (high efficiency moisture vaporator)
-lokian wild wheat (high capacity flora farm)
-tatooinian fiberplast (deep core chemical extractor)
-dolovite iron (mineral mining installation)
-small house/part of someone elses house
-food/chem factory
If you're lucky, that's 6 slots right there.. on top of this, I have a harvester for getting general 'organics', a high capacity flora farm, to get high OQ/PE flora and a mineral mining installation for getting high OQ/UT inorganics (usually ore or metal).
That brings the slot-count to 8, and considering it's usually good to have atleast 3 factories, that's all 10 slots accounted for.. and that's only if you're lucky enough to share a house with someone else so you dont need to spend slots on a house also ![]()
