If you are a neutral medic you cannot heal overts. What is the deal with this? A true medic would heal anyone that needed healing (good, bad, or indifferent). That is how it should be.
Another thought. Why can't covert factions heal whoever they want? What better way for the opposing side to figure out who you are. I guess it is no big deal. But you should be able to keep it a secret (hence covert). No one should find out, by trying to heal or trade with you, that you are a covert.
Oh, another thought about medic xp. If you are a medic healing someone elses pet, you should get some points for this. You are making all the stims and byproducts to heal; thus you should get some points for healing a pet. Maybe not a whole lot of points but at least some.
Let me know what you think.

No it's not. If they allowed this, you could just do special moves and heal your self all day to grind through the xp. This way, you have to help other players (like you're supposed to do as a healer) to get experience.

in response to healing anyone when neut, can you imagine any weapon specialist running around with a neut medic or higher healing him as he PvP's and no one being able to target the medic?you know this would happen very quickly if enuts could heal anyone with out possably paying the price of picking a side

Ok, so what I meant to say is just being able to heal anyone they want to in a medical facility. If on a Battlefield or outside the med facility they would not be able to heal overts.
However there have been times when I have been unable to heal coverts. Does this happen to anyone else?

This happens when the covert has gotten a TEF. There's no visible notification of the TEF and it's a point of annoyance for all medics, neutral and factioned.

I can totally understand the reasoning behind it, but why not even a reduced amount of xp from doing so? For healing yourself and pets, I think it'd be nice if we could get just a fraction of the xp that we would normally get. I mean that'd make sense and it wouldn't allow medics to skyrocket through the profession. Make it 1/5th of the xp we would normally get or something so that healing others would be preferable but not the only option we have.

There is a nasty logic chain on neutrals healing anyone.
If you could heal anyone in the med center...
PVP would move to the med center...
Ban PVP from the med center...
People would run into the med center to escape PVP(and get healed)... then run out and kill people from the safe area... returning to get healed as needed.
Med center become PVP camp farms.
Overall, there is no really good reason... out side of Roleplaying, that neutrals need to heal overts.
Neutral is for the people that want to stay out of the CGW 100%... therefore it is 100% safe from PVP/CGW combat.
Anyone that wants to get involved, should take a side...
Hell, coverts get the best number of healing targets (everything but opposite overt).. but risk TEF when healing Overts frendlies, or TEFed coverts on their side.
BTW, some kind of TEF notification in general should be coming eventually, as a CGW aid. Everyone tends to agree there should be one (or even a "are you sure you want to do this, you will get a TEF" box).
Overall... neutrals not healing overts is a anti-cheese (unkillable PVP healer)solution, that protects neutrals. Tehre is abig difference between "Not on anyone's side" as it is now, and "on everyone's side" which is the proposed mercenary faction standing (can do anything to either CGW side, or be attacked by either CGW side).. ultimately the opposite of neutral... dunno if they are still looking at merc or not.
