Thread: Your New (old) Medic Correspondent 12/15/03
Alright you Medics! Now your in BIG trouble! Traigus and I have swapped positions so now he's the Doctor Correspondent and I've taken over for the Medics. So now you gotta put up with me. ![]()
So this is just an introductory post for those not familiar with the stuff I try to put together to make sure I'm on top of MedicIssues to get passed on to the Devs. Basically you'll see a new thread with a full list of Medic Issues with seperate threads for the 5 categories used in the State of the Profession thread (Bugs, Balance, Gameplay, Wishlist and Exploits.) I'll ask you folks to vote for whatyou feel are your Top 10 issues in each of those categories and I will rank them based on the voting. (Your #1 issue gets 10 points, #2 gets 9 on down to your #1 issue which gets 1 point, most points "wins".
)
After that voting cycle I'll take the Top 25 issues from all categories and put that up for another Top 10 vote. The Top 5 issues from that vote will be the Top 5 I send to the Devs. At the same time I'll put up the full list for folks to discuss and help me to make sure I've got the issues covered, that it makes sense and that I'm keeping the language unbiased.
Issues can be added to the list by starting new threads on something you feel might be an issue and if it gets enough support (say 4 other Medics agreeing with the issue) it'll get added. Anything coming out of the voting process that gets no votes will fall to a possible non-issues list for further discussion and if it get no votes after 3 voting cycles I'll remove the issue from the primary list (but it will stay on the possible non-issues list for historical value or in case some folks want to try to push it back up onto the voting lists.)
It'll take me a few days, at least, to make sure I can get the list prepped up, but keep an eye out for them and I'll keep them stickied to the top of the forum for convenience.
I think that Traigus will see the current Top 5 list, that we are waiting responses on, through here and I'll do the same for the current Doc Top 5, but after that we should be all swapped out. Feel free to make sure the door hits him on the way out and up, I know he'll appreciate it. ![]()
P.S. Despite thatdig at Traigus, I do want to add a personal Thank You to him for stepping up and taking over for me on the Doc side and offering to let me fill in on the lower traffic Medic side. He's given me an option to stay involved in the Corre program helping out the healing professions while he takes on a likely bigger issues list in the process. Thanks, dude,I really appreciate it!

You Medics just inherited a fantastic Doctor Correspondent. Prepare to be pleased.
H.
We needed to keep Z on the medical team. Best idea seemed to move him to the much longer term (and more fundimental) medical issues... Stuff that is the foundation of all healing... but will change very slowly.
We dunno when the titles will switch... etc., but we were told it woukld be official today.
We will continue to work closely, and tag-team the devs whenever possible.
Please Give Z a big round of applause, then begin to PM him hundereds of times about /medicalforage.
