every B med i have crafted and experimented oni have failed. i am using the normal sub-components such as BEC and not ABEC. should i be using the advanced sub-components?

The components won't make a difference there. It's all about the resources and your skill level.High Overall Quality and Maleability ratingsare what you need to improve your success rate. A high-rated Crafting Tool and Craftin station are also supposed to improve your chances there, but there are some suggestions that this is not that case or that negative rated ones work better. The only one I've noticed for sure is that my droid crafter works better than my personal crafting station.

Also, only experiment 1 EP at a time. Don;t try to do muore unless that dificulty rating bar on the right stays at 0. (There's still always a chance for failure, though, so even 0% does not mean no risk.)

I used to fail quite a bit when I used a Food/Chem crafting tool that I made myself. Then I bought a +15 Food/Chem crafting tool. I rarely fail now.

If you can't find it on a bazaar, look for a master artisan to make you one or three. That is, if you can find one that can take the time away from making swoop bikes.
