Thread: Need some medical advice came to the experts
My main profession is Teras Kasi. I've been all over the skill tree, but I've been given some thought to the idea of being a master medic. I'm in the medic line already, but my question is, if I don't have a character with tiny health and monsterous mind am I out of luck? As a Brawler, I'm going to have to have higher health and action than a full on doctor. I was wondering if going Master Medic would be an utter waste of time with out extremely large mind pool.
Thanks for any feedback.

PS - my full plan was to go TK Master, Master Medic, Master Scout -- it just seemed like a great combo to me, if I could pull it off.
Main point is you wont be able to heal as often as other medics, basically the game wants you to pick a combat or non-combat field to specialize in, combat medic might be the only happy medium for now
With master medic you'll be able to heal injuries as fast as any master doctor. You'll also be able to make and use Stim-Ds, which should heal you fully (unbuffed) in one shot... or pretty close to it. Your experimental meds wont be as good as a doctors.
You wont be able to heal wounds as quickly as a doctor, but that doesn't sound like an issue.
Master doc is a perfect compliment to anyone who is a primarily solo player.
Your scouting will get you the necessary organic materials for crafting, but you'll need to rely on someone else for inorganic, chemical and water. And unless you plan on getting a factory, or buying time from someone who has one, you may have to rely on others for factory crate components to build the higher stim packs.
I'm not sure where you're getting your information Aphex, but it's not quite correct ![]()
Good luck to you.
You can buff up your mind by migrating your stats and use the stats enhancement from doctor to buff your health and action bars.
There are lots of advantages, but the biggest disadvantage of master doc/TKA is that it is extremely weak in PvP. You have to be standing to heal, and your mind pool drains, which is also the most targetted pool in PvP. You won't be able to do anything until you get in range.
There are lots of good things to do, just choose how you want to play.
Well my theory is as follows:
At master medic you get Stim-Ds which will fully rebuild your HAM bar. In theory you'll also be able to heal quickly because of all those diag points. So for any character mind is really the limiting factor. I've stat-migrated my character so that he has more points in mind than action or health and has a lot of points in willpower (for regeneration of mind since you can't heal it). I'm a primarily combat character (one box off of master marksman, one box off of spec unarmed) and this works really well for me. I get smacked I stim myself thus rebuilding my HAM, at least until my mind runs out.
True,
But I've been doing fairly well solo'ing lvl 25 critters with this method at just novice marksman.
