Thread: What are the best Ingrediants for Meds?

I use to think that the better 'overall quality' of the resource being used to make meds, the better. But after hearing from weaponsmiths and armorsmiths and such that tell of specific attributes within a resource that do the most good, I was wondering if the same applied to medicines.

What attributes in the organics (or inorganics for that matter) are most important for making quality stims and meds?

Usually for organics, the most common ones are overall quality, flavour and Potential energy, with Overall Quality being the most important.

For inorganics its usually Overall quality (again) and decay resistance.

My experiance is that if you can find a good overall quality organic (insect meat on Naboo is good) along with a good inorganic (I usually pick a metal as it can be used to make Solid Shell Delivery systems) then you have got it made

this will change once the current big patch swaps over from TC. all schematics will have simpler attribute-requirements.

with the current setup some components are very much no-go's such as Liquid Fuels (since it has only OQ, no PE, P, F or UT) for chemicals or general inorganics. sorry, i'm in ahurry so i just post what i use generaly:

Metal: High OQ/UT stuff (usualy Copper has the best values there, sometimes Aluminium or Steel, everything rarely does)

Chemicals: Polymer since it is the only chemical with 3 of the desired attributes

Organics: everything but Wood can meat the requirements we need

Water: well, bad luck, it only has OQ

if i made a mistake, slap me ,)

You can see exactly which resource attributes affect which schematic attributes by opening up your datapad, clicking Draft Schematics, and examining the schematic you are interested in. You can also see this info in the crafting screens.

To find the resources with the best stats, check out swgcraft.com. Click "Find Resources", enter the percentages you got from the datapad (for Experimental Effectiveness for meds this is currently 57% OQ, 28%, 14% UT. After the patch it will be 66% OQ, 33% UT), select your server, and click "Find Resource". You can then click on "Rating" to sort by rating and you have a list of the best med resources in your galaxy. You can also filter by planet and resource class.

I just found a really nice deposit of organics that are Overall 915, Potential energy 981, flavor 727, and Decay 44. Seems like organics made to be godly meds, so I'm setting up 3 harvesters for it... after the patch are half those great stats going to go to waste? Should I even bother to stock up on this stuff?

Pretty much. After the patch the only thing that will matter for Effectiveness is Overall Quality and Unit Toughness. At least that's how it stands now, it's possible they will change it. You might want to check out what the formula for Charges will be, I don't know it off the top of my head.
