Thread: Grouping and using Med droids....

Last night I was in town and grouped with a master DE.


I had my Droid (with a med unit) out and was healing people's wounds...When he pulled out his med droid and grouped it with us....my healing rate skyrocketed!!!


Was this just my imagination or does this happen like it is supposed to?


And if this is the case...would it help if the Healing Medic formed a group in the med center (Maedi...Patient...and droid)???


Side question...how can you tell the stats of a droid(ie. what med stats)?

I had thought this was bugged. But med modules have a med rating. The higher the med rating the better the droid will be for healing. You have to have the droid control module in your data pack for you to view the stats. But if you do you can use examine off of the radial menu to check out the droid and the stats of the med module. There's supposed to be a multiplier of some sort that controls how much you can heal for with a med center being a multiplier of 1.

Btw, med modules are not (not supposed to be) addative.

So his was just better than yours.

The cheapest (noveice DE) med module is 35 (35% of med center bonus).

So...do you have to be grouped with the patient AND the droid to get the bonuses? That seemed to be the only time I noticed any bonus...


Or does the droid just need to be around?


And...if my med droid is out, can other medics heal around me and my droid? And use it as the crafting device?

Other medics can heal around your droid when it is out. I don't know if this is intended. I haven't tried a crafting module yet so I can't give any information about that.

The crafting module definitely works for others around you, as well. I had my medical 4 plus food/chem craft droid out this weekend in a group, and the other Doctor in the group was able to make rez packs in the field. It not only allows them to experiment, it acts as a *personal* crafting device, even to someone who is not the owner of the droid. Was kinda cool, actually.

If it is out, anyone within range can heal.

You don't have to be grouped.

Remember, chances are your droid is worse than the med center. My DE isn't high enough to make the best med module, but the best I have seen around is only 80... that is 80% of the med center (20% lower).

Starting scout camps are 65 if I remember right (plus they have autoheal).. unless they lowered it... haven't been a scout since beta really.

thre question is..


IS med mod healing bonuses live or not..if they are live, the devs could have at least posted about it...


its not like the DEs would have objected to anything to more business

They are live, but not variable....accordign to the patch notes I have read. They are supposed to be stuck at some number... and te variance in med units is supposed to go in at big patch... people have been reporting variance between droids though, so I don't know.
