i bought a droid so i could tendwounds anywhere. i got a DZ70 with weapon crafting station (my probot already has food/chem) and a medical 3 module. it's not letting me tendwounds.i still get the message, "you must be in ahospital or campsite". why?

Kamat, probably, but not neccessarily. He should examine the droid's control item in his datapad and see if it says it has medical capabilities first. Sometimes when you get other modules in a probot the medical module doesn't work. At least my probot with chem crafting station and L3 armor doesn't have med capabilities, although the droid engineer says he put a medical model inside.

If it does say 35 or 55 or whatever for medical capabilities then I'd bet on the cantina theory also.

you're right, i was in a cantina. i got out of town and tried it and it worked. however, i did have it out in cantina while i was healing damage using stimpacks and couldn't tell any improvement in healing.

the stupid thing is that i've got an adv probot too. the probot follows me into battle. the only way to get the med droid out is to store the probot and then call the med droid. well, i can't call the med droid unless i'm in camp. hell, i can heal wounds in a camp without the med droid. sort of goofy. i should be able to call my droid anywhere i want.

Droid and CH pet pulling in town, camp or house only, is to keep people from pulling 100's of things out of their butts while traveling... Trying to make people prepare before hand fro a trip.

Keeping your med droid out, makes you have to protect it, and really consider if you want it out or not.

If you could pull droids out whenever you wanted, you could chain pull probots out of your butt as they got wrecked... how many can you carry?

I had an R5 at the end of Beta... kept him out most of the time. Tough to keep the sucker alive on Endor.

Droids (when out) have a great advantage over camps... you can use them in no build zones. NB zones are also pretty low level, so less likely to lose the droid to something nasty.

I feel the intent is to make the droid part of your traveling group (like in the movies) rather than jsut a tool to whip out when you need soemthing made/healed quick.
