Hi all,

I am sure somebody asked this already, but I hope you'll help me anyways. I have Org Chem IV, and am attempting to find out what I need to be able to "see" Stimpack - C on my food and chem crafting tool list. At the moment, the only Org Chem IV items listed are under the "Chemical" section (i.e. advanced this, and that...). There doesn't appear to be anything listed under Pharma.

Is this because I need to increase one of my skills, or do I need another kit. I could understand if I couldn't see anything from Org Chem IV, but since it is just the Pharma items that are missing, I thought I might have done something wrong.

Thanks,

J.

Stim C requires a chem/food tool and a public food/chem terminal.

Stim D requires a private terminal.

You cant 'see' what you cant make because you havent fulfilled the requirements.

Move to a terminal and C will appear on you list along with the stat wound B packs.

There is a schematics section on your datapad where you can see everything that you can make. That one requires that you be near a chemical crafting station, found in every city.

Also, Stimpack-C requires 32 Medical Use. You can easily experiment it down to 30 so that you can use it with Pharmacology-3. You might can get it down to Pharm-2, but I've never had to try so i don't know.

You need to use your portable food and drug crafting station near the permament ones set up around town. Ive experimented with stim cs, and ive gotten some spectacular results, almost 300 base healing.

In response to your question about the harvesters. Now that they recently made sampling so much harder, medics and doctors that used to just sample while at work or while reading a book are being forced to build harvesters, I am one of them. (Medic w/ lvl 2 in everything). First of all, you can be only a Medic and have a harvester of any kind, all you need is to buy a deed from another player who is able to design one.

Second, all harvesters except the Wind Generator require POWER on top of Maintenance that all buildings need. I have been using harvesters for the last few days and it's an expensive process that requires many destroy missions or even more delivery missions that must be done while your harvesters are running. What I'm doing is waiting for a certain amount of one of my ressources until I stop running my harvesters as it is so expensive.

Third, when you are done with your harvester, make sure you will recover the deed when you destroy them. Most harvesters require 1500 credits in the Maintencace pool to be recovered by deletion, Wind Generators require 3000 credits.

Now then, how much money and power does a harvester really need? A good approach that I'm using now is putting in the amount of money that is needed to recover the deed of the building when it's destroyed. I usually keep it at that level so that if I suddenly decide that I don't want to keep running my harvester I don't lose too much extra money that was in the Harvester's Maintenance Pool.
As far as power is concerned...I have no idea. When I put money in I get an amount of time telling me how long it will last with the mnoney in it, I don't get that with power, I get something like this (1:10) and it's not time in hours:minutes, I don't know what it is and I find that much of my power gets lost this way but it's not a crucial problem overall, so don't worry about it, if u have a Wind Generator, it'll supply u with all the power u'll need for a while since Harvesters don't seem to use all that much power anyway.

Well, that's all I know about Harvesters and the like. Hope someone would fill in the power part. Good Luck to y'all!

Are you using a crafting station?

Do you have Organic Chemistry 4?

You are using the correct crafting tool, the food and chemical one that is, but the catch is...you need to be standing near a food and chemical crafting station for the stim C schematic to show up in the crafting tool. Anotherproblem you may encounteris using stim C, you need to have a medicine use skill of at least 33, which you don't have until you get Pharmacology 4.

Hope this helps.

All Cs and above require a crafting station. You can create them in the field if you purchase a droid with a food/chem station installed.

By the way, with only a 34% ease of use experimentation result I was able to drop stim C med use requirement to 29. Pharm 3 has 30 med use, so you can use stim Cs at pharm 3. I haven't tried getting the ease of use better and see if I can drop it to pharm 2 yet, but that would require lowering it below 20, which will probably be very difficult.
