Thread: A little help for starting out??
I started my character yesterday evening. I am currently a novice medic and not much else. I am having a really hard time finding the resources to craft anything. The medical forage command seems worthless to me (maybe I am doing it wrong?). Can anyone tell me where to find/buy/beg for the resources needed to craft some things?
Also, I have been hanging out at the medical center and can never seem to find anyone to heal. I will sit there for an hour or more and maybe heal 1 person. How am I supposed to advance my medical experience if I can't use my medical skill?
Is there somewhere else that I can look for injured souls to heal without being scared that I will get attacked and killed in 3 seconds?
I play on Flurry and would appreciate any help or suggestions that a more skilled medic can provide.
Thanks in advance.
When I started out, I did ALOT of delivery missions to make enough credits for a food and chemical crafting tool, and some survey tools. If you train in Novice Artisan you can use survey tools to gather your own resources. Don't bother with medicalforage. You're right... it is worthless.
As far as getting medical experience... in the med center there are peak times when people come in needing wound heals. I find that late at night, and a few hours after people get off work is the best.
One place I got alot of med experience whenI was a novice medic was in the cantina. Ask to join the entertainers group and have a seat right in the middle of them. Heal their action damage. This is slow when you reach higher levels, but great when you're a novice.
Good luck on reaching Master Medic!!!

What is the purpose of grouping with the entertainers?
noob medic thanks
You group with them so you can see all of their action bars. Also makes them easy to target.

When you get enough supplies to make stimpack A's you might want to try the outskirts of town. Usually you will find new players trying out there skills on the small vermin close to town. These are good patients to start with and will usually tip for the service since it means they can spend more time earning xp and less time sitting around waiting to heal. Stimpack A's have gotten me through the medic career.
