Ok, I have a factory which I am making various components for medical supplies.

Based on what was said you need to be near the factory to get any of the xp. I do this however I am not seeing any exp added to my medical crafting amount.

Has anyone noticed this? Is it yet another bug, or am I missing something?

First off, factories crank thing out pretty slow, so be sure to give it time to crank out an item before you can see the XP for it. If you are wtihin 400m you should be getting full XP for it. But you should still be getting 10%XP when farther away or logged off. The time it takes to crank out an item is based, iI beleive, on the items Complexity rating*6. For example a Small Stimpack A for a Medic has a complexity of 10. It would take 1 minute (10*6=60 seconds) to crank out 1 stim, or even for the factory to FAIL to crank out that stim, if there is a problem with the production run. 10 is the lowest complextiyt item we have, so anything will take at least 1minute to crank out. Unlike that darned artisans who can do completity 2 powerups and just crank out XP with a factory like their is no tomorrow! Those lucky dogs.

The distant thing is not a problem, and I have created over 1000 items from my factory. However the exp is still stuck at around 17500. That number is not double the exp needed for the next level in crafting exp, which is the first one in the doctor tree. Maybe I will train that today and see what happens, if that unfreezes it.

I bet that will do it. I'm almost positive you were capped on XP. The Doc XP tabels are a tad screwy after they fixed the gating problem we had early on for Doc Crafting, so the Caps -vs- Level requirements are a little odd.

Ok trained doctor and the first level in the doctor crafting this left me with correct number of exp.

Then went to my factor and put in components for stimKit Cs. Did a run a 25 of them, with me standing thier. I would come by and hit the mouse ever so often to remove AFK status.

Checked my exp and it had not changed.

I don't have a clue wheter factories give xp or not. I don't own one yet. What I'm wondering is WHY would they give you xp? Because you made a schematic and now it is doing all of the work? I know you guys dont want to hear this, but the only thing you should get xp for is the actual original crafting of the item that you created the schematic for. Getting xp from factories is ludicrous.

You should get the xp because you paid the substantial price of a factory... Also, as was mentioned earlier you only get 10% when away from the factory. Getting 100% while near the factory makes sense becasue you are in a sense supervising the production. As for the 10% while away, I happen to think that that is diminished enough to take into account doing nothing. Don't forget that you also are paying maintenance on these things.

Looks like this one is going to get patched out soon. Folks were only supposed to be get 10% XP at any time, whether next to a factory or on another planet or even just logged off. Flat 10% XP every time and item gets cranked out by the factary period. The Devs just missed the fact that factories were actually giving FULL XP when you stood near them, and that was a bug so it will be removed shortly, according to Holocron.

Well it is not going to matter to me for a while. The game lost my factory and so the CS has not refunded it for me.

before you flame that last guy....

If the player that made the schematic and the player that uses the factory are not the same player, who gets the XP?

Thank you.
