Hello everyone !

Do anyone know why, with the same stimpack and the same target, i usually heal for 300 then 500 ?

Why such a variance in my healing power ?

Same goes for woundpacks of course.

A pretty common question for all of us and we are not sure if it is just supposed to be designed that way or not, but I'm pretty sure it's on Traigus' list and may eventually get the Dev's attention enough to get them to give us a mroe definitive answer.

its the great random number generator....

dont think we can stop it...

I once suggested that since durability did absolute nothing on final products (Now confirmed from the planned update changes) that i should be linked to damage variance. So the higher the durability the less variance in heals.

But now that durability is going to be completely removed from medicines...

just have to grin bear it and hope you dont drop a 100 heal stim E lol

Elenora, that is a really good idea.

Wish the corresponent's input had been received before this new patch. I would have liked to see that put in.

Variance hurts in healing/stimming, but it kills when trying to use enhance-packs. It's like a lottery, sometimes a hundred, sometimes a thousand.

The ability to experiment on the minimum heal value whether it's called durablity or something else, is a GREAT idea.

I think it uses te same failure system as crafting... Good rolls give you moderate and low positives. Bad rolls give you moderate negatives.... A critical failure gives you a result you can count on your fingers (probbly the absolute minimum heal (1) + your skill bonus.

It does seem the variance is too high, someone should run some numbers on a bunch of identical stims and see how much of a variance you can get, if I have time I will try and do it myself.

from what i remember when i did some calcs on med kit "A" i was getting anywhere from 50-75% below the base heal and 50-75% above the base heal. it seems the % is randomized from -75 to +75% on each useand it calcs this from the the base heal. i think this also carries over to stims but the % is randomize on each pool. it would be better to have a % that went from 0 to 75% so you can at least do the base heal.

also remember you need to take into account your + xxx from your skills when you test since to have a clean slate w/o mods from skills you need to take novice medic and only oc 1 to have the lowest possible influence from medic skills.

Thanks for the answers.

Am I the only one finding that a random generated number should not cut my healing power by 3 ?

I can understand a variance of 750-900 but 300-900 ?

Hello ! I'm doing everything to craft super stimpacks and I can't use them effectively ? I'm waiting something of my experiments, it's not for the pleasure of seeing a big number next to "heal health" and "heal action". If i'm bothering experimenting every pack it's because I wan't the best for my group and that best seems to remain in a random generated number ?
