I've been thinking about getting a medical droid, and I have a few questions:

1. There are different levels of medical moduals (I think the highest is level 6). What are the differences?

2. Could I get a droid with a Medical Mod and a food/chemical crafting station?

3. What types of medical droids are medics using, and how are they working out?

Thanks in advance for any information,

Naphtoe

heya,

1.)Right now, there may not be, but there will be in the big patch. Bigger modual will help more.

2.)Yes, different droids have different numbers of module slots. Dunno if tey have max module sizes/rating though.

3.) Still saving up for one now, but I have had mouse and R5 droids in beta. There is actually a surgical droid model as well.. .but I never had one. I ahve talked to peopel tat say their probot has med modules in it as well.

Hello Naphtoe,

Just to respond your thrid question:

3. What types of medical droids are medics using, and how are they working out?

Well a guildmate gave me a mouse droid that allows me to do heals outside of a hospital or campsite. But, it can only be used in the city or close to it in the noob hunting grounds, and can not be used in the cities cantina. Which i find annoying, that i can't heal out in the wilderness or within a cantina, but in a PA hall i can use my droid to heal. In some player properties one doesn't even need a droid to heal.

Since i still rely on a tip income by choice as a master medic at this point. I find the best place to use my mouse droid is in the bank plaza, where players are usually very generous in there with their tips. The one draw back is, i'm taking away business lets say from ever reaching the hospital for the other healers there.

Droids should work in the wilderness...your friend's must be broken (there are issues with medical modules being addressed in big patch).

They can only be taken out of packs in towns and camps though... mouse droids often get squished out in the woods... since you can't pop them in and out of packs just to use them (they aren't a tool, they are your little metal friend).

No cantinas keeps med centers from being redundant. If droids worked in cantinas, everyone would go to cantinas for healing and entertainmnt healing.

droid are all screwed up...

doesnt matter what type of droid u have as long as it has a med mod in it..then u can heal anywhere...

basically right now all the difference between the droids is what they look like...

so if this dont change...dont bother with any droid other than a probot with a med mod and crafting terminal in it..or forge the terminal craft at home and get a self repairing probot...

right now there is no reason outside of RPing to get any nother type of droid...

DE class is really messed up

Med modules are going to scale in the patch. better elvel = better ability
(it is listed under DE fixes not medic though).

wil be nice that med modules will help wound healing..but does ne1 else find it strange that a d2 unit or a probot cna do the exactly the smae thing a surgery droid can do assuming it has a med mod in it?

Yeah, I think crafting slots are "all or nothing trees."

They can do:

organic
wood
evergreen

stacking.. where all lower types will work as well as upper, but not the other way.

They can also do:

Scope only slot.

But without locking a slot to a module

med module only

There would be no way to have optional/configuarble slots.

Surgical droid.. no big deal...

But you'd have to lock certain craft statiosn to certain droids. etc.

They could lock stat bonuses directly to droids though, so a surgical droid would make the craft/med module work better... while a probot, would get more function out of armor modules.

They are putting in certs for droids... It may be only medics can use surgical droids, and weaponsmiths r5's.. who knows.

I'm certain there is going to be a riot, no matter what they do.

I have a 21-b surgical droid. It doesn't have a crafting station but can be taken out anywhere not just camps or town. This comes in very handy in the wilderness when no scouts are around.
