First off, I applaud all the medics out there, you and old. You're work is always appreciated.

Second, I'm curious about something. For healing my pet, I'm a novice medic with FA3. Does having FA3 make a difference thuogh? Would my heals with StimB's work just as well as a plain old uneducated novice medic?

It is my understanding that you get better use of your medicines from the First Aid line, so theoretically you will heal more damage with it than without.
