Thread: Unrestricted healing since P9.1

I'm a Master Swordsman/Master CH/TK meditate line and novice medic with first aid 1.

Ever since P9.1, I've been able to heal friends as fast as I want, as often as I want, w/o waiting. Oh, I still get the message that I'm ready to heal again, but it is long after I'm done with 2 or 3 heals to get my buddies back in fighting trim.

And, before you say it, my stomach is empty. Never touched the speed improvement food because I haven't really needed it.

The only restriction is how much mind I have.

I've /bug'd this behavior, but I would like someone else to try it and see if I'm just lucky at the moment.

yep, its workin the same way for me. i am only novice medic. i think it happened when they fixed the CM timings.

I managed to fiish off 3/4 of my doctor tree in under 2 hours becouse of it.

ugh.. if this is the case.. its not a good thing. I mean ... it may "seem" like a good thing, but there does need to be some sort of a delay...

I've posted a sticky in the Doctor forum requesting all data on this issue. If you've got some hard figures I'd love to see them there. I'm trying to file a report for the devs.

Well,
I was able to get first aid 4 last night healing dancers in about 1 hour, there was no delay whatsoever, except for the animation. Im really not sure if this is the case for every medic, but it certianly was for me. Note, I only tried it with self crafted stim Bs, and I was in a cantina while it was working like this, and I don't think that it was working like that for everyone.

I was out try to get to Novice CM and the first time I tried healing my buddy I wouldn't stop healing. Like I was on automatic pilot and had no control over it. I used the stims and my mind reflected the numerous heals faster than I've ever seen anyone heal for sure. If I remember correctly, only when I switched tool bar panes did the healing finally stop. It never happened like that again butI definitly recall clicking to heal before I knew I could again and healing before I got the message I was ready to heal more damage.

Yes, I've noticed that i don't have to wait very long to heal, maybe one or two seconds, without any speed skills or enhancements. Also, I don't know if this has always been the case, if i press the button with my stims 3 times in rapid succession, i heal once, one second later heal again, one second later heal again, without pressing the button anymore.

I think it's putting healing actions in some sort of action queue, but we can't see the queue, and the timing system is broken. It drives me nuts. If I have an action queued up, it should show up in the queue window, whether I'm in combat or not, or there should be a new queue window for this stuff. Equipping armor and weapons is the same way; if I equip a pistol, then try to mount my vehicle, the command to mount won't occur until after the weapon is equipped.


The way it used to work, you would hit the heal button and you would perform the heal, and if you hit the heal button again it would show a system message telling you how many seconds you have to wait before you can heal again. This system message no longer occurs, and the heals appear to just go off one after another, with the only delay being the time on the healing animation. As far as I can tell, injury treatment speed does absolutely nothing now, because there is no longer a delay time based on the injury treatment speed mod. This is obviously a bug, unless they actually wanted to make it work this way and forgot to mention the change to anyone.


If I had to venture a guess, I would say that this new queue system is causing heals to bypass the delay that was based on the treatment speed mod. Something just isn't wired up like it should be.

I've noted it to the devs and not received a word of feedback. I don't even know if they've read my note.


Needless to say, I'm not happy about that.

I found this out by mistake lol.


I was in the cantina healing dancers to get xp and to heal them up. I setup a small macro to do the healing process for me so that I could only just select targets using the mouse and not to have press on dancer + press on /Healdamage.


I forgot any kind of pause command.


And i healed the dancer in front of me faster than i could have said 'Holy...'
