Thread: Can players heal NPCs?

I'm not talking about healing NPCs to get experience or money or to get yourself a TEF. I can see why these would be restricted. I'm talking about healing NPCs for other reasons (like roleplaying, for example).
I don't know even if NPC healing is even possible, but I do know that a covert player can't heal a fellow Imperial or Rebel NPC. Just yesterday I was watching some Imperial NPCs on Tatooine being thrashed by some mountain squills, and was sad to find out, yet again, that I couldn't heal them. Can someone explain the current state of NPC healing in the game and the reasoning behind it?

I'm not sure of the reasons behind it, probably what you stated already.
The only NPC's you can heal that I know of are Faction Pets.
