Thread: If you were forced to charge for healing...

...how much would YOU charge? I know thoughts on this vary by player and by server. I just want to see what medics think is acceptable. On the other hand, if you are not a medic, what do you think a reasonable healing rate is?
As for me, given my current skills and my slightly strapped-for-cash situation, I would charge as follows:
All damage treatment - free
Wound healing - 2 credits per wound (1 per wound for new players)
Poison - cheap. Maybe 500 credits?
Disease - cheap. Maybe 500 credits?
Right now with the Jump to Lightspeed escape pod wounds, we could be makin' some serious bread.
If my character was an all combat guy, I think these would be cheap prices.

Hmmm...when out in the field I've never charged for anything, the only charges I make are when people buy my medicines from my vendor. If people ask the question "how much?" I'll tell them they don't have to pay unless they want to... every single time I've received a hefty tip, much more than I should have accepted really. I see it that in healing people I don't necessary need xp, although it's good to get it, but as part of my role in the game I am a healer therefore I heal; if I earn cash then fine. I'd not like any constrictions of having to charge for that sort of service

If in a medical center not healing guild mates (which I'm not in a guild any more anyway), I'd charge points healed x 10. These are just rough prices I used to go by until ced center healing went away with player cities. Most of the time players just tipped me what they felt was good, and most of the time it was good and I didn't complain. Then I took up more combat skills and holo grinding, and that put an end to my life in the med center. Maybe one day I will return, but for now the current state of the game makes it no fun to do so, so I wont.
Damage: 0 cr.It's not something you generally do in a med center though, but more on hunts.
Wounds: 10 cr per wound. This really is your bread and butter.
I charge high for these because I never usually have many of the resources on hand because well, I don't do med center healing any more and I'm TKM...
Poison:1000 cr. Once again,it's not something you generally see in a med center due to the short duration.
Disease: 5,000 cr.
Fire: 10,000 cr. I rarely have fire blankets on me anyway.
Buffs (per set)
A: 1,000 cr.
B: 2,000 cr.
C: 5,000 cr.
D: 10,000 cr.
Innoculations: Not played with them enough yet and I don't do med center healing to bother working out a price.
Oh yes, forgot to include sales of stim B's... they're good to make money with too... well... not for much longer...

I can charge that, but I rarely got it, but lots of people tipped me amounts that equate to more like 50cr / point, so it really didn't matter to me. I like most others were mainly concerned about having fun, and that was a time where most doctors were in medical centers healing people to level and loads of fun was bring had by all.

Im surprised you can charge 10c per point for wound healing, I tried 1 per a long time ago, and it wouldnt fly, and that was before solo group madness inflating everything. Bottom line bieng that people wont pay for something that they both really dont need and can get for free.

Anywho .. as for pricing .. erm.As for charging for healing to ensure I got paid then .. I really just asked for a tip. Most of the time, I got more than enough to cover my meds .. sometimes I'd get nothing ... but most of the time, it'd work out okay.
Now, I hardly go in med centers. I hope to change that in the future. I actually miss sitting in a med center healing people .. I dunno what'd I charge now. I have a pricing system set up to acutually sell my meds.

i would only charge for small wounds - wounds less than 50 or so. i carry D packs and although B packs work great, sometimes they dont do it all in one go. i hate to "waste" a charge on small wounds, thats why i charge 2k, if whomever asks for a heal, insists that i heal him/her.
if im in a medic center ill just use tendw on the small wounds and run off to the nearbycantina for 2 secs. other than that its 2k for the small wounds. disease cure is free, poison cure is free, and fire cure is too though its rarely needed. these are free cause they dont cost much mind as healing wounds does.
