Doc is good for buffs and maken cash.
CM is just great for PvP you are a one man army with it and if you add rifles its prety nice for mPvE and PvP.
What are your other skills?
Ever think about doing both its pretty good master both and get marksmen 4-0-0-4 or what ever and a high damage laser rifle. That Temp is more of a back up.

Well, i'm a novice carbineer as my attacking profession. Is it possible to easily go for both? Because if I can I will (but I'll do doctor first, need the cash, unless someone can tip me a lot of money to help me cover expenses, lol)

This is really important to me, I don't know whether to go for Combat Medic or Doctor. Here's what I want to do:
Set up a med center in a town with a friend I have who is a Master Doctor already
I need to make money to run our guild, this is very important
It seems that I'm leaning towards master doctor, what is the advantage of Combat Medic? I was thinking that if I set up a med center with this freind I could buff and heal people when he is not there, and make good money for the guild! So to me there seems to be no advantage to Combat medic, but please let me know. Thanks.
CHECK MY POST IN THE TRADE SECTION IF YOU HAVE INFO ON A MED CENTER

Okay, so I'll go for doctor first, that way both my friend and I can run a buff house type thing, then I'll go for Combat medic to help my pvp skills. For other things I'll use Carbineer skills. And in the extra time, i'll go for Jedi
If anyone else has suggestions, let me know. Thanks for all the help, and if someone has a good med center deal, check my forum out in the trade section please.

If you do the MD/MCM template, it will leave you enough skill points to get rifle 4, pistol 4 or carbine 4 in marksman. If you like to PvP, MD/MCM makes you a one man bomb. Launching poisons and diseases while healing yourself faster than most people can harm you. This is also probably the most effective support template on raids and large hunts (Krayts, DWB, Geo, etc...).

Well, that sounds great. I'll do both doctor and combat medic, then I will also work on some carbineer skills. Will I still have enough to go for jedi in the long run?

Or don't I need the carbineer skill if I'm using combat medic?

You will still need to keep your Carbine 4. This is because poisonsand diseases won't incap or kill. They stop ticking at 1 so you will need to suppliment CM with traditional combat skills. Plus poisons only tick ever 10 seconds and disease every 40, leaving too much time you're vulnerable. When I did MD/MCM I had Rifle 4 and just used mind poison and disease while putting on a mind bleed.
