What does Biological Effect Controller do? I'm novice artisan and medic, and I crafted one Biological Effect Controller, but for some reason can't use it. When I click on it in inventory, I don't get the "Use" option.

It appears it and the one right below it are used for crafting more complicated medical items (when you get to that point).

I'm not entirely clear on this myself, but I think that it is a component you need to make to build higher level medpacks and such. Not sure though, as I'm rather new myself.

Biological Effect Controller, Chemical Release Duration Mechanism, Solid Delivery Shell, Liquid Suspension, etc. are all sub-components required to craft the higher level medicines such as Small Stimpack B and Health Wound Medpack B. They don't do anything by themselves.

oh. obviously. i mean, why would they have any use at all to a novice medic?

Why they are given when you get them I have no clue besides the thought of lower medics making them to sell to higher medics which makes no sense because higher medics can make them better so they would most likely not bother with getting them from lower medics.

It's a legacy of the time before schematic revocation, I believe.

Originally, higher level medics needed to buy those from low level medics. Thus, the lower level medics recieved them early on, so they could sell them to the high level medics who could no longer produce them.

However, schematic revocation was revoked, so recieving it at low levels has lost it's point.
