I am going medic as a teritary sort of thing (my main trick is pistoleer/BH pistol line, but since it will be a long long time before Im anywhere close to there, I figured I would pick up medic skills in the meantime to make soloing easier)

Do you only get xp when you heal other people or what?

You do not get XP for hurting yourself. Therefore you do not get XP for healing yourself.

If you could get infinite XP for healing yourself,even if it was at a slower rate than for healing others, you could AFK self-healmacro your way to master doc/master CM.

Getting no XP for healing yourself is a GOOD thing.

Not saying its a bad thing, just verifying that I wasn't doing something wrong. It is a bit annoying though, since I really am a soloer at heart.

As a solo medic you just need to look for healing opportunities and take them. Can just stand around an area where people are AFk-sampling resources and heal their action bars. Same in a cantina or medical center - no need to group or even socialise, just treat injured people as opportunistic healing targets ... they're not going anywhere
