I have just died yet again beucase somehow /healdamage could not see the 30 odd stim packs in my main pack

is there anyway to stop this happening? it's bad enough i don't know when a heal is gong to happen but not knowing even IF a heal is going to happen is getting old fast.

I used to do that, but i'm way short on tool bar slots, and i can use an entire pack in a fight, so now i need 2 or 3 slots just for healing, throw in everything else and i'm way short on slots

it's just very annoying.

Not sure if this is helpfull to you or not - but there's currently a bug where you get this message when you're too far away from your target. So, if you were trying to help someone in your group, but were too far away- you'll get this message.

To open up the second toolbar slot, hover the cursor just below it until it changes to a "drag up and down" icon (like you get when resizing windows). Drag down, and voila... a second level appears on the toolbar, giving you 12 more slots that you can access by pressing Shift+Function Key.

And it is indeed practically necessary on some occasions.

I haven't ever been unable to heal myself - but I do get that message constantly when I'm not close enough to my target to heal.

If you have anything at all targeted, you won't heal yourself. Try clicking on nothing before you hit the /healdamage button. See if that helps at all.

Also, I've found that /healdamage won't find stimpacks in a backpack or other container - make sure they're in your main inventory.

Cutter's already addressed the issues in which the "No valid medicine" message occurs, but you actually can use the stims inside your backpack with /healdamage... you just need to make sure the backpack is equiped (ie. right click and select equip... you'll see it on your character). Also, for certain containers that you can't equip (ex. satchel), you can still use stims inside by dragging them onto your toolbar and clicking on it.

Are you sure this is not as designed? When you are too far away and get "no valid medicine" it could mean "You don't have any combat med medicine which would let you heal at that distance."
