I've seen a few too many posts that I don't think quite capture the essence of healing during combat, and using your own specials at the same time. No, they can't be done at exactly the same time. What actually happens is that your heals get stacked into the combat queue, but they do not show up. They are there, but they are invisible.

Let's say I have F2 mapped to BodyShot and F8 mapped to /healdamage self. I am solo-ing something that cons yellow or redto me. I can press F2 5 times in a row, then F8, then F2x5, F8, F2x5, F8. I can do that quickly at the beginning of the battle and sit back and watch. My toon will execute 5 BodyShot's on the MOB, then heal me, then execute 5 more BodyShot's then heal me, then do it all over again. Rinse and Repeat, until my combat queue is empty. I can go grab a Mountain Dew out of the fridge and not worry about getting smoked. When I come back, my guy will still be standing there shooting 5 times, then healing himself.

With Stimpack A's I tend to go with 3 and a heal, B's 4, C's 5 to 6. I'm currently enjoying 700 point heals with my experimented Stim C's. With premium ingredients and 6 points of experimentation I can get the base healvalueover 350, although the average is more like 320.

The same strategy applies to healing others. Sometimes the giant lag after you use the Clear command (everyone knows that's mapped to Ctrl-Backspace, right?) is due to the execution of your last special. It's already stuck in the queue and needs to execute. As soon as it does your heal takes place. Why? Because your heals are put in the queue with your specials, you just don't see them. (So give your keyboard a break and stopping pounding the crap out of your heal key. It'll come.)

And while we're on the subject, Ctrl-Backspace clears your combat queue but keeps you in combat, dealing regular damage to whatever mob is still listed in said queue. Ctrl-BackSlash is a keyboard shortcut for /peace. That will clear the queue and break-off combat. If you would like to still squeeze a few extra combat xp out of it use clear instead of peace when casting heals. Your toon will still stand and fire while that valuable "special" is being used to save someone's butt.
