Thread: Help on becoming a Bio Engineer
I recently started a character hoping to become a Bio Engineer/Creature Handler. I was reading up on both professions, and they seem very interesting. But, as I was reading up on them I overlooked something that I think I should ask before I remake the character.
In a guide I read it said to start the game as a Artisan, that way we get the Surveying tools to craft healing items (Organic Chemistry is the Bio Engineer prerequisite). So I said to myself "Ok, I will just remake the character as Artisan, then learn Scout and Medic." Well shortly after it occured to me that if I started the game as a Artisan wouldnt my HAM pools be messed up?
The guide said "When you have stat migration open, pull every point possible from your health stats (str and con I think)....use these points to redistribute them to where you pretty much have equal action and mind pools. But it also says before that "This assumes that you are actually wanting to concentrate on the medical profession and treat any combat abilities you might gain as second-hand if you use them at all".
But as I already stated, I dont want to concentrate on the Medical Profession, only one of the skill lines. So If anyone knows how I should distribute the points please respond.
And you don't HAVE to start as an artisan, especially if this isn't your first SWG character. Since medics start with a generic crafting tool then all you will need to do is buy 27 metal, make a mineral survey tool and then you can make all your own tools.
