Hi, im new here (not on swg tho) and I wish to become Master Medic. What is the fastest way to do it? I already got novice medic but each time I use a stimpack that I can make it give me so low xp that I wounder if there is something better then to heal my pet in camp.

I would like to be a medic master asap. Thanks for the tips!

Craft some woundpacks and sit in med centres in major cities. You can get good XP that way. You could also buy your meds, but you will need crafting XP if you want to be a master medic.
Another way to get medical XP quickly is to craft a bunch of stimpacks and heal action damage on the dancers and musicians in the cantina.

Now, gaining skills is a bit of a pain since 3 out of 4 medical skills types require the same type of XP. It's really up to you to decide which you want to train first. I levelled them all one after another (i.e. First Aid I, then Diagnostics I, then Pharmacology I, then on the level II, etc.)

First Aid lets you heal more wounds per woundpack. Diagnostics lets you heal faster (though in my experience it's not really noticeable until Diag III or so). Pharmacology lets you use better meds (for example, you need Pharmacology IV for stimpack C's). And crafting is self-explanatory and easy to get.

You might want to pick up a droid with an F&C crafting module so that you can experiment on your meds without having to find a public crafting station.

As for how quickly it takes... I've gained enough XP for a level IV medical skill (15,000 XP) in one night in the med centre in Coronet. It goes a bit faster once you get to higher levels, since then you heal faster, better, and get more XP.

Oh, and another thing. You can buy better meds until you can make them yourself. Pay attention to the Medical Use requirements. As a novice medic, you should be able to buy stimpack B's and use them instead of A's. Not sure how the woundpacks are in that respect.

Hope this helps.

Healing entertainers in the cantinas and folks surveying can be good sources of exp as well. My personal favorite is hunting groups, small or large, but make sure you make a bunch of stims ahead of time

Your best bet is crafting experience. I won't go into previous mentioned experience bonuses, but I jumped from 10 wound healed per attempt to like 40 per attempt by making medpack Bs (which will greatly quicken your xp bonus). This information may however be out of date as when I made this switch before there were doctors. You may not be able to compete with doctor's yet, however if there are no doctor's present, a lot of patients, or doctor's willing to let you get xp, there probably is fairly good xp still in healing ppl in medical centers.

Just made Master Medic a few days ago.

Yeah, you have to put in your time at a med center in a busy city. Cantina is also good for action healing as mentioned. And hunting in groups helps as well. You can craft while you're running or when there's any other downtime.

Also, if you or someone you know has a big pet and is in your hunting group you're xp will go up pretty quickly using good b's and c's.

When u get enough xp craft stim a's for $$$. You'll be able to sell em for 50-250 a pop in bestine or coronet. And you'll get some decent crafting xp.

Maybe after Master Medic, go for Combat Medic that's what I'm doing. It's quite kewl. Ranged stims and poison and disease units....

Good luck.
