Thread: Noob Medical Experimentation question
I have gotten all the way to Doctor without doing any experimentatio--I don't know how.
Up until now, I have only made StimA and a few StimB. I read that if you stand next to a crafting station, you will see more things that you can make, and sure as shootin, there they were.
Now my question is this, I noticed that I have a skill mod called "Medical Experimentation" which is +60. Is that what I use when I craft medicines standing next to a station?
I read how people "spend" 1 or two per try. What the heck does that mean? Do I start with 60 and spend down to 0?
Is experimentation how people can make stimpack b's that heal for 300+? I have yet to make one that heals for more than 180. Is there anywhere you guys know that I can go for a full explanation of how expirmentation works?

Medical Experimentation (and all experimentation for that matter) will give you one point of actual experimentation for every +10 of the skill that you have. That means that you've got 6 points to spend as a Doctor. As for spending 1-2 per try, that's a way to minimize a massive failure when experimenting. You can spend however many points you want out of the 6 you have available per experimentation attempt (and you only get one attempt per stimpack/component). Spending all 6 will give you an all or nothing shot, while spending 1-2 at a time will give you small increases or, in the case of failure, small decreases. Spending all 6 will give you a larger total increase than spending 1 at a time, or so I've heard, but spending 1 at a time decreases the risk of getting a big failure and watching your already accumulated %'s go poof.
Now, as for Berwa, people make better stimpacks than you both through experimentation and using better ingredients. If you go hunting, you can find organics and inorganics with absurbdly higher OQ and PE.
Do the experimentation points available vanish once you use them or are they permanent points ?
