Thread: Surgical droids!?

I havesome questions about the Surgical Droid that maybe you can answer. When you create a Surgical Droid, without a medical module in it, does it get a medical rating? Do you get a different medical rating when you put two identical medical modules into different droids, one surgical, one MSE?
I've heard different stories from multiple DE's. One said that surgical droids have an automatic medical 6 module in them. I doubt that, because I've seen reports from people with a surgical droid that has a medical rating of 80. The level 6 module is either 85 or 95 (can't remember) all by itself.
To answer your question though, right now all droids with a medical module just allow us to heal wounds outside of camps and medical centers.
They also have a bug where they can decrease the amount of non-wound damage we can heal if their medical rating is less than 100. For instance, if I try to heal someone who has taken 100 damage to his health bar with a stim that would normally heal 100 damage, I only heal 35 damage with my medical 1 MSE droid (rating 35) or 65 damage with my medical 4 R5 droid (rating 65) out. If I put away the droid, my healing goes back up to normal. But if you warn your customers that this is happening, they won't come back and yell at you later... 
Okay, now it's sad that I'm asking this, but here it is.
I'm a droid engineer (no, that's not necessarily a good thing) who can make Surgical droids (ditto). What does one do for you guys? I was under the impression it's supposed to allow you to heal outside of a hospital and the medical modules allow you to use medicines at an improved efficiency. Since the Dev's won't tell us what our droids are meant to do, i was wondering if any of you guys could answer for them.
Usually medical droids allow us to heal wounds outside of med centers and camps, our ability based on the rating of the medical unit installed. Alsowe need them with F&C crafting stations in to create some of the more powerful meds.
Eventually medical droids will also be able to help heal patients
